I just looked at my schedule of recordings on a Magic tv 3600 and all the Tv1 recordings are now for channel 600. Channel 600 seems to be a copy of TV1, but the guide doesn't work.Seems to be recording a show tonight, but might pay to keep an eye on your recordings.

What is Freeview up to now?

Fixed my schedule by restarting the Magic tv unit - All Tv1 recordings are now back at TV1 instead of channel 600.

Channel 600 still exists and shows TV1 but only 1 audio stream (not Dolby Digital). Couldn't delete it as it doesn't show in the list of channels. Viewable on my other Freeview units too.

That's interesting as of last Saturday/Sunday I had exactly the same problem and still have it now.

The programs appear to record but when I go to view them they are only about 1 second long and therefore have no content (very annoying).  This is the only channel I cannot current record correctly.

To confuse things occasionally just occasionally it does record something correctly (but alas not often).

MTV 3600 FIRMWARE 3.21NZ. which as far as I can tell is the latest version on the magic tv website.

Location Christchurch.

Exactly the same issue here, I'm also in Chch. It's a shame that what was once the best Freeview PVR is now such a big pile of steaming crap with one problem after another.

Well a strange set of events happened this morning:

(1).  My PVR was unusually un responsive.
(2).  It refused to do a auto channel scan (that's really odd)
(3).  It flashed something on the screen, rebooted, then went into guided setup (WTF).
(4).  When it came back I checked to see if my to do list was still intact, to my surprize and utter amazement it was.
(5).  And now also to my surprize and great pleasure all my tv1 listings were channel 1 not 600.

Is the 3700 radically better or just newer?

I have a 3700 and I'm seeing similar weirdness. Twice I've found the MTV showing 600 on the display & "No signal, check antenna" on the screen the MTV won't respond to the remote. The signal is fine, and power cycling the MTV gets things working again.

Pressing Rec on TV1 results in an attempt to record channel 600 which then fails.
All TV1 recordings in the to-do list show as channel 600.

Can you confirm you're seeing this on a device that is not a Magic TV?

Please perform Settings -> System -> Factory Reset, then re-add the bookings.
