Hi guys sorry my internet has been throttled (yes!) and googling is very slow. Luckily GZ still loads fast.

Anyway, moving a few things around temporarily and had to whip out my Hauppauge HVR-900H !!! and an autotune on Media Portal / Win 10 TP has missed out all the TVNZ channels ...

Does anyone know the frequencies for Mt Cargill (Dunedin) for current TVNZ channels (inc the Wimbledon pop-up one)?

Edit: as well as Network ID, Service ID, PMT PID?

Sorry, I didn't read properly the first time.

TVNZ is 578, Mediaworks is 562, and Kordia is 594. I think MediaPortal might need some 0's, so 562000.

No Idea about the popup, but to the best of my knowledge, those are the only 3 frequencies broadcast from there.

They're here:
http://www.rsm.govt.nz/online-services-resources/pdf-and-documents-library/publications-and-guides/broadcasting/digital-television-channel-usage/table-of-digital-television-channel-useage

My advice is don't try and add channels manually. Those details are required, but you won't easily be able to find them. Scanning should be much easier (because it will add all TVNZ channels, and you won't have to faff around trying to find the technical parameters you mentioned) now that you have the required frequencies.

[edit: Make link work. Geekzone, are you not able to handle links automatically like every other forum I use? Note underline doesn't seem to work either.]

...and the parameters you're using are...?

Selecting NZ and Dunedin may be insufficient if the tuning details are out of date. In that case you would have to do a manual scan for the relevant frequency.

yes I did that. don't worry it's more of a OCD that I am trying to get it right. I don't watch tv normally :)

i can't help but wonder what Windows 7-WMC might find, but I don't have the energy to act on that thought ;p
i'm guessing probably the same ... in which case I can't blame W10-MP

I had a similar problem here in Auckland with my HVR2200 after the Auckland frequency restack last year. It was a software problem. The software (WinTV 7) was setup for autotuning by Region in NZ and of course the frequencies changed. I had to do a NZ Wide scan and then delete the stations in the list I didn't want. There was no provision for a manual scan. Hopefully the software has been fixed with updates but I haven't used it for a year or so now.

ok ... it turned out it was signal strength/quality. found another way to get the signal from 30-40% to around 60-80% and immediately a scan found all the TVNZ channels.
