I was looking at one of these at JB Hifi the other night. It had Sat1 and Sat2 inputs. What's the advantage of having two?

being able to connect to 2 different dishes, each pointed at different satellites so you can pick up 2 different sets of channels

Yep, that's the one. what's the model or brand of the receiver? It's likely got a built in hard drive for MyFreeview Satellite

As above twin tuners give more options. Usually they are configured with a small cable that loops the tuner 1 output to tuner 2. Or you can allocate the 2nd tuner to a 2nd dish or lnbfs configured for other satellites.
