My aerialbox T2200 is losing audio fairly regularly and I can't seem to get it back without turning off the power to the unit and restarting. The unit becomes unresponsive until restarted. Initially thought it was an antenna issue and have upgraded my (old combo) antenna but it is still occurring and even happens when watching ondemand shows. Signal strength shows 45% and quality 98% on the info screen, which is certainly better than it was. I'm using the HDMI output. Any suggestions?

My parents' unit hasn't had this issue, so I can't help, but I would suggest either posting on the main thread on this device (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumId=83&topicId=179230) and/or contacting Dish TV directly; one of their staff is a member here on GZ and is good in responding to queries - see http://www.geekzone.co.nz/user_public.asp?user_id=65735

Cheers
Jonathan

Using a Panasonic TV by chance?

If so power off all units(to avoid sparking), disconnect HDMI cables. Turn on TV go to settings and turn off Viera Link settings. Power off , reconnect devices and power up. This should solve it. Some devices do not play well (CEC) in these circumstances.

Thanks for the replies, it not a panasonic TV I'm using its just a fairly old not smart HD LCD Konka. I was a bit confused which thread to post on as the member that Jonathan mentioned posted this comment
[This is not a problem solving discussion, please create a new discussion and we will respond there]
So my confusion was is a thread, topic and a discussion the same thing? And by posting this topic in this forum [Freeview (DVB-T/DVB-S)] have I have started a discussion in the right place?
There is a help line but the old 9-5 hours make it hard for me, I couldn't find a support email and this forum option was listed in the information with the product.
More information about my setup is its a wired network connection and the aerial box did an automatic firmware update when first installed.
Thanks again
Matthew

Good Evening Matt

Sorry for not being online during today, I was out of the office for a day break but can try to solve the audio sync issue with the T2200, don't worry about adding into the other thread :-)
We may need to take a look at your Audio Settings in the menu, are you able to take an image with your camera/ phone of the following Menu > Settings > Audio Settings  and then I can have a look at what the current setup is set to, I have also logged an enquiry with the technical team as well which will provide more info from 9am tomorrow,

Audio Dropouts are definitely not normal and with a great signal from your TX, we need to isolate this to either the unit or your TV. Could you tell me what Transmitter site you are getting Freeview from? just so I can have a look at the transmission providers reports incase there might be something happening up there.

Cheers

Josh

DishTV are supplying a replacement unit, seems I'm not the only one with this problem.
