Then either the dish needs adjusting or the LNB is poked. Maybe both.

Sky dish is 3 years old.. and so is the LNB..

And it works fine, when hooked up with My Sky decoder.

And you confirm that your MYSKY recorder can get FOUR, TV3+1, Choice TV etc..
Please note that Four +1 and The Edge TV are on a SKY leased Transponder, that list looks a little old.
No point in testing TV One, TV2 and TV3 HD as that's on a SKY TP

Yes, my sky decoder is capable of showing all those channels.

I believe I might have missed something in the setup. This is the first time I have tried using freeview on my PC..

Stupid question - You are tuning the satellite tuner and not the Terrestrial Tuner I guess?
If you are in a Terrestrial area I'd be using a UHF antenna into the DVB-T tuner so you can get HD. Freeview Satellite is only SD.

No question is stupid.. but yes, I am scanning using a satellite dish and the s tuner.

and whilst I was typing, I just manged to get all the channels.. I downloaded nextpvr and it's all go.

that means I don't have to buy an uhf aerial and redo my wiring..

may be later I can upgrade to freeview HD

What value did you put in for the LNB? Or have you left it at its default?

Yes, just select the Satellite and fills in the default values

Three values - perhaps there is another setting indicating which one is being used (I'm not familiar with the particular software.) Try switching between the common NZ LNB values 10750, 11300.

Why use default values when they won't possibly match your LNB parameters.
