Is there any sign of the video on Satellite?
I don't scan anything and have tried the likely VPIDs on 12456 H 22500 and still see nothing.
Could be a trick of "Freeview" attaching a VPID to a radio channel, Freeview 50.
They don't say "Terrestrial only" in the promos.
Not much good out of town if it's not on Sat.
I'm pleased to see John Campbell back on the air, but I don't know if the visuals really add any value. A radio show belongs on radio.
peterds: I heard from RNZ that the video for John Campbell is not on Freeview Satellite which is a pity.
Yip its only on Terrestrial Freeview, no Satelite,

The show will be broadcast live on radio, and those keen to see behind the scenes can watch a video live-stream on the RNZ website or, in most centres, on Freeview channel 50
I’m using a DVB-T stick on a PC. This had me confiused for a while. The RNZ audio is still at PID 0x2000 on the K1 mux where it was but is no longer a named PID. That is why without a rescan it continued to work as normal but there was no video. The RNZ plus video stream is on the K2 mux. It works, but to my ears the audio quality is noticably inferior to the audio only stream on K1. I hope therefore they don’t stop the stream on the K1 Mux.
