Sometime after 7pm  yesterday I've lost TV3, 4, 3+1, 4+1, EdgeTV & shopping channel (kordia MUX?) on my media centre PC. I've rebooted and they are still not there. The image is black with no audio but Dolby Digital Logo is there on 3. Looks like the carrier is there but the streams are not if that makes sense? Funny, Maori TV is still OK and I thought that was on the Kordia Mux?

The image is just blank, there is no indication that there is a signal issue.

Has anyone else lost these channels in Taranaki? Has there been a shuffle around of services or a change in the transmission format that Media centre doesn't like?

Regards Allen.

Earlier today there was a region-wide black out in the Taupo area on the DTT  network, that has since been rectified later in the afternoon, I'm looking at the network at the moment and the providers have not reported any issues in your area.

Sorry, yes the mediaworks MUX. Is Maori TV on that Mux or another?  The channel listing I have found has it on the mediworks MUX. Maori TV is still working OK along with the other channels.

Hi Josh.

Do you know whether any changes were planned in the data format of the Media works channels? Maybe some subtle change has upset windows media centre?

The strange thing is that the channels appear to be there, just displaying a blank image and no audio. The Dolby Digital plus logo is even appearing on TV3 indicating that it is recieving DD encoded audio. Most weird.

There have been no windows updates since early yesterday morning so I can't blame that.

Hmm... Thanks funny they are working again now.

I did everything I could try yesterday short of a re-scan and couldn't get these channels to work. I even tried complete power cycling and a system restore. Now magically during the day it fixed it's self and they are working again. I havn't changed anything from last night. Very mysterious.

The word I got from Freeview team is that the transmission provider had reset the site overnight so that the channels can stream through once more.

Thanks Josh

So are you saying that this MUX was down for all Taranaki yesterday? Did no one else notice? Do Freeview and/or the broadcasters not monitor their transmissions?
