Hi Android users,

A app is on the app store which you can use to control the S8200 / T2200 unit, You can also view the guide from the channels loaded in the box, plus stream the channel you are right on your phone.

I love the app, way more responsive than the remote :P

couple of things, it has saved the wired settings for the device in the device list but i have changed to WIFI (issues on my network) and it keeps showing the wired device in the app and i cant work out how to delete it, this forces me to have to manually enter the wireless settings.

the app still faces the same issues as the remote with registering double button presses when its only pressed once, i imagine this is more a device issue than the app though.

The now/next and channel are almost the same thing

some of the ads are not the best when exiting, a pretty woman asking if im looking for a date is not very appropriate when there are kids that could be using it as a remote.

and in the FAQ it mentions vplayer, if you search for that under the app store there are many different vplayers, might need to be more specific :)

Thanks for that info, I was only aware of an app today (in fact I did not know about the app until the aussies commented about it) so I will get this feedback through, We are hoping to add more to it.

It depends on the phone, but VLC will work universally, try experimenting with different players we would like to know which works and not. In terms of the now/next we will remove this and look at other features, we are looking into booking from the app and remote record.

VLC does not work universally, well it didn't on my IPAD2 it said unsupported codec, the stream worked fine on VLC on my android phone.

you mentioned Vplayer hence I would like to know which one it is you are recommending

Anyone will do, although I am aware there is a paid version that you need to buy, VPlayer was the default one supplied from the software team,

I am aware that streaming works on iPad 3+ and iPad Mini 1 +

like I said there is more than one app called vplayer, a line would be nice

ill uninstall VLC and install again and see how that goes.

We understand, please let us know how you get on, VPlayer is the paid version, but we are changing this,

I'd appreciate some users testing some apps that can stream the unit, That would help heaps and perhaps instructions too as I will be compiling a manual.

Picked up a T2200 across the ditch a week or so ago and generally happy with it so far (except for a couple of niggles) - which I'll post elsewhere..

Cant seen to get the iOS app in the AU app store, can you please publish to that please?

Thanks for that..

Is there any ETA for when it will get published to the AU store - is it just the ability to login to a dev portal and tick a box so its available in other regions (not sure of the Apple submission process)?

Or do you need to recompile totally?

EDIT: Thought I would check again and it is there now - thanks for sorting that!!
