Current peeve (and its only a minor one really) with the Samsung TV , Freeview Plus & TVNZ on Demand - The Samsung does not manage to remember my password so I have to log in every time to TVNZ on Demand.

 

Annoying - anyone else with this issue?

 

(one day I'll complain to Samsung I suppose :) )

 

I'd buy a cheap Bluetooth keyboard, but I just know I'll spend hours hunting for the "missing keyboard".
Thinking as I type - there must be an android app that lets me use my phone as a keyboard. I'll try and find one. But it would be nice if this was not an issue.

Yes same issue with my Samsung TV - TVNZ on demand does not retain my login and I get that annoying message every time I try to use it. The On Demand app loads automatically when I turn the TV on i.e I did not download it form the Samsung app store.

 

I wondered is this had something to do with the fact that I have my TV set for the UK which suits me for reasons that outweigh the TVNZ On demand annoyance.

Same here. Usually once the app crashes I have to login again which is very frustrating to say the least on the stupid on screen keyboard. The app is an absolute joke.

It is not region based. Happens to me when set to the NZ region.
I currently have the world's weakest password to cut down keystrokes on there annoying on-screen keyboard

Can anyone with a keyboard confirm if it works or not when entering the login details on these apps please

I've struck two lately that keyboards don't work on the apps, only on the TVs menu ie: entering wifi password on TV's network settings

I'm heard back from Samsung, Basically they say it is a freeview app and thus a freeview issue.

 

They also claim that the TVNZ ondemand app when used from the smart hub works fine for password retention?
They recommend using the return rather than the exit button when leaving the smarthub TVNZ on demand app.

 

Does anyone know if either of these statements from Samsung is true?
