Alright. I'm sure I've probably just got the wrong plug in somewhere, but cant find which one.

I've had the aerial going straight into the TV + The freeview box, for no joy. Its an older Freeview, it doesn't have a Hard Drive. I've currently got it on AV1. I've tried AV2 also, no luck. Cant seem to pick up any channels? Is this Freeview box obsolete? I'm sure im missing something small, just dont know what...

Pictures coming within the next 10 minutes...

1st, you don't need an aerial into the TV any more.

2nd, Is your aerial a UHF one?

3rd, Are you in a UHF area?

4th, Is the Freeview Box a Freeview Terrestrial (UHF) box, or a satellite one? (DVB-T, or DVB-S)?

5th, you should have AV cables connecting TV to Freeview Box, and there should be a lbel on the TV telling you which AV input you are connected to. When you switch to that AV input (AV1, AV2 etc.) do you see the User Interface for your Freeview Box? (press Menu on the freeview remote - do you see the setup menus?) If you do, have you run the initial setup/scan?

If its a non "digital" TV, you only need the aerial going into the set top box. The less splits the better in the aerial cable too.

Secondly are you in a terrestrial Freeview coverage area and if so, how old is the cable / aerial?

If you are connecting the set top box to the tv, you should know which AV connection you are using. If nothing else, I would expect to see some black or static or green flashes as the box boots up even if nothing else works in terms of the reception side of things. Pictures would be helpful to so please post them.

Alright thanks for all the info guys, managed to get it all sorted. I had the aerial plugged into RF OUT, think it was meant to be plugged into RF IN.

Also I had to add a "Split/Extension Cable" To the aerial otherwise it wasn't going to be plugged into the wall. The new place I moved into has a weird set up.

+1 to everyone for the help :).. Well not Mike ;)
