My parents just moved into a new house and they are trying to get their older TV with build in Freeview that only has RF aerial inputs.

The aerial cable is a digital one, hooked up to a Sky aerial and a UHF one.

Is there a connection that will allow you to plug in a digital cable into a RF TV?

Will this even work if there is?

I'm guessing the OP has F connectors on the wall and Belling-Lee on the TV?

Otherwise they want to put the sky box on a channel on the TV and want a modulator to allow the TV to display.

If you are in a Freeview UHF coverage area, with aerial in the right direction and TV with built in Freeview decoder (usually sold post 2008 in NZ should be fine), then you should be able to just use an adapter between the two.

What does the Freeview coverage checker say?

Sounds like you have a cable with an F-Connector on the end (plug with a screw-thread)?

Are you sure this cable goes to a UHF aerial? Usually an F-Connector means satellite, but it could be combined (in which case, somewhere else in the house will be the combiner that the cable from the dish, and the cable from the aerial are combined).

It is pretty easy to change the plug ont he end (or find an adaptor plug/cable) but it will do nothing if there is no UHF signal on the cable.
