Does anyone know when if/when freeview will have Triangle tv?

It won't be on DTH as they are using Stratos as an equivalent solution.

Don't have an ETA on DTT services.




Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

The original plan was for Stratos to be on DTH and Triangle to be on DTT in Auckland and Wellington only. I've not heard anything from Triangle to indicate these plans have changed, but they have yet to make a formal announcement about DTT.

FYI, the feed Triangle/Stratos get is still the overly compressed 4x3 Sky Sport 1 feed. I tried watching the Wgtn game and found the lixellation just too ugly.
