I recently got an HVR-4000 card. After a lot of mucking around managed to get picture and sound in GB-PVR, but a few small problems still exist that I can't seem to get right.

1. The sound is working, but it has the odd blip and pop sound which is annoying.
2. When I record a programme the sound is intermittant and sometimes non-existant. Have tried playing back the files in VLC and GB-PVR and there is no sound at all with VLC in either of the two Stereo audio tracks.
3. Maori TV is choppy and sometimes freezes GB-PVR.
4. Freeview HD preview channel is choppy and stutters.

My graphics card is a EN7300GT and has hardware decoding of the H.264 codec. CPU usage is about 15% on both cores when watching TV3.

Also, how do I get my XMLTV epg with DVB-T. I tried changing EPG source from DVB to XMLTV and I did get my EPG, but GB-PVR became unstable and eventually I lost the picture altogether and had to delete the capture source and enter it again.

Any help much appreciated.

You wont be losing the picture etc because of using an XMLTV epg source.

Sounds to me like you have a marginal DVB-T signal if you have blip/pop sounds and choppy freezing images.

Signal is actually very strong. When scanning for channels it picks up the transmitter at 100% signal. TV1, TV2, TV3, C4 TVNZ6 are very smooth. It is just the audio has blips every few seconds it is almost nonexistant on the AC3 channels.

I think I have narrowed the sound problem down to the Monogram AAC decoder as I upgraded to the latest alpha version and the sound blips are much worse.

Is there another LATM AAC decoder I can use?
