Hoping someone can help.  We have just bought a 40" Samsung Smart TV 5500.  We access My Freeview through our Satellite Dish from the TV.  Often when I want to catch up on one of the On Demand apps I press the green button and get a message in the middle of the screen "Not Available".  Sometimes it will let me in but more often than not I get this message.  Am I missing something - surely it shouldn't be this bad?  Our Wifi is right next to the tv and we have no issues watching Netflix at the times that the On Demand apps are not available.

Anyone got any ideas?

thanks.

I've been and checked if there are any software updates which it says there are none.  Is this the same thing as firmware updates?

Just tested on my 40K5500 and seems to work fine using the Green Button. Firmware 1142.

Have you checked Settings > Broadcasting > Expert Settings > HbbTV.

Yep have just checked Settings > Broadcasting > Expert Settings > HbbTV.  It says HbbTv - this function is not available.

How do I find Firmware 1142?

I've just tried the green button and "Not Available" again!

Mrbbi are you using a satellite dish or UHF?  Could it be something to do with the Sat feed?

Thanks for your help, please excuse my ignorance, I'm not brilliant with these things!

Settings > Support > Software update.

Switch the Source Button on the remote to TV and try.

Quick update, I've worked it out!!  It's because we have Auto Timeshift on, now I've turned it off the On demand apps work every time!!  Thanks for all your help.
