Just spoke to Vodafone TV rep - they don't offer Freeview on Vodafone TV (HFC / cable) just SKY - must have changed their policy recently, because a Vodafone TV customer could choose SKY or Freeview in the past.

Looking at the Dish TV satBox S8200 @$299 from the warehouse instead...

Yea, they changed this in the middle of last year - I tried to get around this but they wouldn't budge.

Where are you located that you can get HFC service but can't get Freeview over DVB-T terrestrial?

Presumably they are after Vodafone TV as a recorder, it used to be offered as a value added when joining their unlimited broadband package.
