Wonder how long before it is on Freeview? Ages knowing Sky.

I'd quite like a Prime+1, but would like Prime in HD (on DVB-T) first.

Being available free to air is different to actually being on Freeview. It is only on Freeview when it appears in their official channel lists and shows as an available broadcast on Freeview certified receivers and TVs.

Is it showing on Freeview certified devices, or just seen on a scan of Optus D1?

EDIT: Reading the above NZ Herald article, it seems it is not on Freeview, as a manual scan of a satellite receiver is required.

Not another wasted +1 channel..   Just  allow sat users to access the HD  FTA channels that Sky now has.  These +1 channels are just a waste of bandwidth..

OK to clear things a little about Prime +1. It is now available on Freeview satellite approved boxes if a factory reset is done , then a rescan.

At the moment shows as channel 10005 Prime Plus 1.

This is on satellite. Optus D1 12519 .

What a waste of satellite capacity !

When  Freeview started we were promised more channels. We have lost TVNZ 6,TVNZ 7,Stratos and Cue and now have five Plus 1 channels instead. Most viewers these days have recorders capable of "time shifting" so why do we need Plus 1 channels.

Now how about Minus 1 channels ?  We could watch the 6pm news at 5pm!

I'm all for the idea of minus 1 channels. We could get news of an earthquake, fire or other disaster before it happens, that would be very handy.
