Hey there,

It would be useful to quite a few people if someone could record some longer high def samples of both TV3 and TVNZ.

Preferably on TV3 to be an actual HD program (not upscaled) and on a TVNZ channel some fairly complex scenes since there's no HD yet. anywhere from 30s to 2min is good (longer the better)

I can offer hosting, but my webhost is currently moving to a different data centre and kinda relaunching(im part off support staff), so im not sure when i would be able to offer hosting if needed.

Thanks a lot in advance

Fossie is sending some large HD sample files and we will be hosting these here on Geekzone. Just a few hours to get all the files and upload to the server.

Hi all,

Totally agree, would be just awesome if this could be set up.  Agreed anywhere from 30s - 2 min and with some challenging content would be ideal.  Needs to be the actual broadcast configuration so we can try our systems for compatibility prior to getting actual reception up and running.

Looks like this is going ahead, so thanks in advance to all involved!

Cheers,
Jackson.

The samples are a 2 minute sample of TVNZ 6, Mainly to test interlacing support.
The other two are a ~2min sample of tvone and a ~2 min sample of Freeview|HD.
I'm still trying to get a good tv3 sample but my tuner has had hardware problems since February.

Thanks Fossie, these will be very useful.

Main thing I needed was a sample containing all the aspects of Freeview DVB-T that were Different to overseas terrestrial TV broadcast.  These are the bits that make it difficult to configure here in
New Zealand.  1080 would be good to check, but mainly it’s the mpeg4 Audio is HE-AAC etc, where we can’t just grab an existing bit of software to do the whole thing.

Look forward to using them, and thanks to geekzone for hosting these files for us.

Cheers,
Jackson.
