Apparently some of you wanted some new longer samples.

So here are some Freeview | HD samples!

I'm still trying to cap tv3. My tuner doesn't like the cold.

I can provide a TV3 dump if you like. Probably best if I grab it during one of the actual HD programs.

How long in seconds do you want the sample?

Hi guys,

I was looking for 30 sec - 2 min.  Fossies bigger 720p version was around 100mb from memory?

Fossies samples were great as they were proper NZ standard Freeview, which included all the components that were unique to NZ - mpeg4 + HE-AAC LATM audio.

Cheers,
Jackson.

Jaxson: As an aside, does anyone know specifically how different the DVB-T NZ standard is to the Hong Kong DMB-T standard?

Please, please open another discussion because this is not related to "Freeview samples".

What application are you using to manipulate the .ts files?

Openmendia, it would be great if you could cap tv3 during HD progrmming. Any length from 100-150 seconds is good.

Sorry I didn't have a chance to run a capture last night.

Hi Fossie,

Thanks for the samples.  There seems to be something wrong with the link for the TV3 sample though, I've just downloaded it and it's a 35kB file.

I downloaded  the sample and played on my Popcornhour.  The video played fine  but as like last time no audio.  I must admit i was alittle underwelmed by the PQ.  I thought it would have been way better as it was about the same as the 720P  x246 AC3  (file size 1.1Gig)  episode of Battlestar galactical that i had just watched,

I just downloaded the TV3 sample. On my PC with PDVD8 (AM2 3600) it plays a little bit jerkily but had pretty impressive PQ and was audible!  Tried the same sample on my Popcorn Hour. No audio of course but over HDMI to a 56" TV I thought the PQ was excellent. Will give me push to install my DVB-T card and start capturing this stuff myself.
