My mother in law has moved into an apartment and want to get the sky and the freeview working at the same time. There is a single aerial outlet in the lounge. When the sky decoder is plugged in, sky works. When the freeview plus TV is plugged in, the freeview works. Can anyone advised what type of splitter I need? I don't know what is going on elsewhere in the building to combine the signals into one cable.

One of these

P.S. If the Sky Box has an rf out socket then just connecting that to the TV Antenna input may work too provided the Sky Box passes through the UHF signal. Wouldn't need the splitter then.

Thank you! I'll see if the sky decoder has got the pass through. If not I think I've got one of those splitters in a box of cables at home.

Assuming the Tv is working from the aerial, you need a Tv / Sat diplexer , input to wall, o/p to Tv & decoder.
If you are in Wellington area PM me ,I'll have what you need
