hi since freeview started I have had satellite as thats what freeview started. 3 years ado dish and lnb was replaced as rusted. now my signal is way down to 50% and quality 50%. this will suddenly drop to 0 then back.  I am assuming lnb but havent found where to buy one in Tauranga.  My terrestrial was no good as council trees blocked us. Council just cut them down and now perfect reception.

have 2 tv connected to terrestrial

have 2 recorders connected to satellite.

years ago aerial lead replaced and splitter fitted in ceiling. rg59 cable.  I cant crawl in ceiling so either repair satellite or connect satellite cable to terrestrial aerial on roof and use adapters for terrestrial tuner.

Now that ShineTV also on terrestrial, I dont really need satellite.  but main thing does it sound like lnb has failed.

I just bought a splitter for tv and htpc so both are now terrestrial.  On the tv I checked signal and it is 100 quality and 93 strength.  The local ones here I couldnt find a new lnb today so got the splitter for terrestrial.  Wasnt sure how would go with existing rg59 cable but seems good.  Those trees being cut down made a huge difference which I didnt think it would
