I've been using my asus p7131 dvb-t tuner card with dvbviewer, and everything was working perfectly (even brilliantly).

But now I've got major problems with the TVNZ mux through waiatarua. A couple of days ago it wouldn't even get picked up by the channel scan, then it got picked up but not the channel names.

Now I've got the channels, and teletext, but they are completely unwatchable. Most of the time it is a black screen with some extremely corrupted audio, but sometimes I do get the picture (also extremely corrupted) for a second or two before it disappears again.

This is with all channels in the TVNZ mux (1, 2, 6, 7, Sport extra), and I know I can recieve them as I have done before, and I can still view the freeview | HD channel that has the same specs as tv1 and 2.

Is there anything anyone can do to help or is anyone else having the same problem?

Thanks,

Tommy.

Definately check your aerial - Ive been playing with my two lately and depending on which aerial I use (I use a couple of indoor ones) and where their placed I get varying signals - one aerial if placed where it is atm wont let me see TV3/C4 at all - black screens.  If I move it to a slightly different place I'll get them but with loads of corruption.

Maybe it's picking up the TVNZ mux from a weaker second transmitter. I know that if I let the MediaPortal TV server scan all frequencies, it tends to select the weak TVNZ signal from Pinehill over the strong signal from Waiatarua. And that gives pretty much the results you are seeing.

Make sure it is tuned to 538MHz instead of 530MHz.

Nah, I've done that. It is defintitely only picking up 538 MHz.
