Right, so our new place only has a Sky dish on the roof (we're renting) so it looks like I'll be putting my Pana blu-ray recorder into storage and picking up a satellite Freeview box.

Has anyone got any recommendations re: units that play well with Harmony remote controls (I have a Harmony Ultimate)?

Reliability is the key.

Recording... well, I'm not overly fussed but I suppose it would be nice.

Thoughts?

considered a indoor aerial?

use the built in tuner on your tv, you'd be surprised at the coverage around Auckland, its pretty good.

There's three TV's in the house and a central comms cabinet (plus dual ethernet ports to distribute IR signals to the locations of the other TV's).

So running an internal aerial wouldn't work that well due to the location of the comms cabinet.

Still... any ideas about set top boxes?

I picked up a Dish TV S7070rHD today and I can confirm it is in the Harmony database.

To be honest, for a cheap box I'm really quite impressed so far... very snappy channel changes, easy firmware update via USB and it tuned up very quickly.

I do miss HD Freeview, but I watch streaming content more than anything else so... yeah.
