Hi,

Last night (sunday) I asked the recorder to record Terminator genesis via the EPG.

Tonight (monday) after work i can see its STILL recording - 21+ hours later. i stopped the recording, & now watched it, & deleted the long recording.

I have un-grouped my library so i can see individual shows and see that its recording THREE things at once now. One of the shows ended over an hour ago & it should have stopped recording.

Has anyone else seen odd things happening ?

PS ive emailed DISH TV now

EDIT -  it is now recording FOUR programmes at once. MEGA TRANSPORTS (Duke), MYTHBUSTERS (duke), The Brave, TVNZ 1 and Close Encounters - DUKE

yes, I just stopped 2 recordings after 23 hours.  When I stopped the second one, it wanted to do an over-the-air update (even though it was attached to the network).  Perhaps it is the update that is doing this?

Bloody annoying to have 71 GB on the disk!

Was there an update yesterday ?   Did your 23 hour recording start yesterday (sunday) too, or earlier ?

EDIT: After i stopped the recordings for tonight, it tried to update.

Maybe its the TRYING to update while its recording - that causes it to over-record ?

EEEk - Decided to do a FACTORY RESET

Now i cant record anything except MANUALLY (but this saves programmes as the programme BEFORE i want to record)

I go to EPG. select the programme i want to record.

i can SET REMINDER, UNSET REMINDER,  SET REMINDER, UNSET REMINDER,  SET REMINDER, UNSET REMINDER,  SET REMINDER, UNSET REMINDER,  SET REMINDER, UNSET REMINDER,  SET REMINDER, UNSET REMINDER,  SET REMINDER, UNSET REMINDER,  SET REMINDER, UNSET REMINDER,  all i like.

However the"record" option does NOTHING - i press it, nothing happens. i press it, nothing happens. i press it, nothing happens. i press it, nothing happens.

Ive used the buttons on the remote AND/OR the wifi internet option (display of the remote control on your PC)

Has anyone else have MAJOR problems after sundays update ?

Ive figured out that the MHEG EPG (the white pretty one) allows me to record :)

But the regular black EPG does not allow me to record anything.

sorry for the OT and intrusion but what makes this thread any different to the existing one that is well used here;

Just stopped another 2 recordings after nearly 24 hours -- and then it tried to update OTA (it is connected to Ethernet) and failed.  I fear it is going to do this every week now.

I'll try to update via the network when it's free.

This after years of being perfectly behaved.

Not happening with my 1050.
