So.. Wanting to put my 24''inch '' I Mac'' in my room and watch tv from it.

Basically By using this
Happauge winTVR 900 usb

What software can/should I use to run TV as I hav't use apple for about 5 years now >.<

If you want to watch freeview (DTT) straight out of the box. Buy the Elgato Eyetv hybrid. This comes with the software and hardware needed. It works well in osx.

Hmmk, Thanks for that... Was looking for something slightly cheaper as I have already now got the USB Happauge stick and a remote but just need a program to run it

eye tv supports the Hauppage 900 natively. only need to buy the software.

Ah, didn't know you already had the hardware. You can just buy the software on its own, but it tends to cost as much as their hardware/software bundles.
