Looking for a PVR to use with the Freeview satellite service - on Geekzone chat we've discussed different set-top boxes, or Dreambox, or Windows Media PC.

The only feature that's a must is series linking (if its possible with Freeview).  I'm relaxed whether its a PC or a STB.

What's recommended?

GB-PVR and MediaPortal both have series link.  I use the one in GB-PVR all the time, seems to be quite reliable, except when the damned TV stations change their titles subtley

Yea that really does piss me off too!
Just last week I set MediaPortal to record Child of Our Time every time it is on TV1.
What do they do the week after? Change the name to Real Life:Child of Our Time! Yell
