Hi,

I have Plex Pass and an HDHomerun Connect.  Plex has found the HDHomerun and successfully populated the guide but whenever I try to watch Live TV I get the error "Unable to tune channel".

Has anyone else experienced this?  I have tried running 2 different plex media servers, Ubuntu and Android, but get the error on both.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks.

Not seen that, but looked in the Plex tuner log? Is it having trouble with signal, or locking to a channel?

Thanks for your reply.  I managed to fix it by upgrading the firmware on the HDHomerun :-)

The Plex interface without a grid view for the guide is downright awful though :-(

I've also got an HDHomerun and subscribed to a Plex Pass - mainly just to see what it was like (I'm still playing around with it), but I am seeing a grid in the Plex web interface, as below.

Yeah that grid interface is nice but is only available in the browser. I watch Plex via my Nvidia shield and the grid isn't available.

Sorry, I'm only teasing (OK, I'm very immature). Thats from Emby. They do have that (or similar) on Fire TV, Android TV, I think LG, maybe Samsung
TV though I only use Fire TV.

Probably wait for your client to implement it....or use a browser.

Yeah, @rb99 's gonna have to elaborate on that for us. Don't leave us hanging... I see a Plex style home icon, and a Chromecast icon in the top right.. Shield?

Emby does Shield, Roku, Fire TV, LG / Samsung TVs and various others on various servers

https://emby.media/download.html

Some it does better than others - I've seem some who aren't very impressed with the PS3 or 4 version.

As far as I know if its available on your device its got a TV grid guide.

HDHomRun is its favourite tuner.

You'd need to pay (like plexpass) though.

Also, I believe Plex is happy with media just chucked in a folder any old how, Emby likes more structure.
