Hey guys

I have just set up freeview terrestrial on the NOVA-T 500.

I installed/setup everything according to cranz's instruction guide (thanks a lot if cranz is reading) except for the EPG guide.

After installing everything is sweet, watches freeview with no problems and straight after reboot of computer its unwatchable, with "unable to start timeshift" message on everything channel.

this has happened twice now (i thought reinstalling media portal will fix the problem...)

Any help would be highly appreciated.

More information required. System specs, software & frontend ie. Mediaportal, GB-PVR, etc., along with version numbers.

Hi there

Thanks for replying.

after stuffing about for over an hour last night i have found the problem.

For those who have the same problem read on!

i have used an external drive for the "PsisDecd dll fix". now i dont know why this fix has to read its source of patch installation everytime windows is rebooted, but it does. everytime i reboot i removed the external drive so it cannot read therefore cannot patch the buggy PsisDecd dll file, therefore ending up with unpatched PsisDecd dll file... hence the timeshift error.

Note: when installing "PsisDecd dll fix", do not put it on desktop (like i did) as windows does not allow you to move it as its a file thats currently in use.

Hey - I have a similar problem... However, my problem is compounded by the fact that I can not run the "PsisDecd dll fix".

Firstly, I'm assuming, Skidzon, that the "PsisDecd dll fix" you refer to is the one Cranz says to install from Microsoft? ie: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896626

When I try an install this patch from MS, I get an error saying "Not enough storage is available to process this command."

I have 12G free on my C:, and 300G free on my D:.

Presumably this is an erroneous error message. However, the net result is still the same, I can't install this patch, and so I'm stuck! Media Portal / MyTV won't run channels any more, and complains about not being able to start timeshifting. (Media Portal worked fine before reboot).

So, can anyone give me a patched version of the requied .dll's? <-- or is this a bit risky.

My specs:
Dell Insiron 1720, 2 x HDD (12G free, and 300G free), 4G Ram, Windows Vista Ultimate.

Help!?

No the PsisDecd dll fix i mean is the site mediaportal takes you to (wiki off memory???) when you boot up tv server setting and it warns you that the Psisdecd.dll file is buggy.

i'll try search up that site for u mate.
