Hi
just went to TVNZ sports extra today to checkout the coverage, though its acting like a Internet video stream, only audio is there sometimes and sometimes its just blank sometims media portal freezes. has anyon else faced the problem?. Cyberlink cinema shows it without a problem?. i have started to think MediaPortal is not very good when their is poor signal.
i am trying to use the scanChannelBDA utility to check the strength.

Ive watched a little bit of the TVNZ Sports Extra coverage in the last two evenings.  The worst thing has been the smog (or fog as the officials are labelling it)!  It really is bad....looks like someone has smeared vascaline across the lense Laughing

Have also noticed that the channel does seem to "stutter" from time to time.  I'm pretty certain this is the feed from China though (as opposed to my setup - am also using MediaPortal).  Every other channel seems fine.  Can anyone else confirm this?  Its not offen...just once in a while.

Afraid I'm away from my HTPC so cannot confirm if the feed is ok at the moment.

I'm experiencing the stuttering as well. I do not have any problems playing any other channels .

Blank channels here too. Sports extra and also TV2. They're been down for me for the past few days. I've done a rescan and notice that some of the channels have actually changed i.e. TV1 is actually 800, TV2 802 etc. Does anyone know what's going on. I missed Chuck last night cause it was downYell :)

thats strange, because for me only MediaPortal is problem, infact i can even see the preview of the channels in TV-server but media portal doesnt do anything for any channels. on the other hand cyberlink power cinema is working for all channels.

my tvnz sports extra runs fine but its really low quality  720x576@ 25fps  3Mbit average rate according to DVB viewer .
25fps makes it look like a good web stream not digital TV.  .. is this normal for this channel as all my other channels run as they should,

576 interlaced sounds like standard definition to me. Remember that PAL uses 50 fields per second, which translates to 25 frames per second (2 interlace fields make up a full frame of pixels).

yes sport extra does look very budget compared to other channels.

fast moving sport like soccer looked crap on it with the low frame rate.
