Hello,

I purchased a Panasonic DMR-EX87 DVD Recorder (with Integrated DVB-T Digital Tuner (SD)) while I was in Sydney recently, and as I don't have a UHF aerial or satellite dish haven't been able to see whether this particular system will work here in NZ.

Does anyone know whether it works or not? It would save me the bother having a new aerial installed to discover it was pointless ;)

Cheers,

Geoff

No.

New Zealand uses MPEG4/H.264 for DVB-T rather than the MPEG2 used in Australia. We also have 8MHz channel stepping (which is the norm in most countries) which differs from the 7MHz used in Australia.
