For the last few days I can no longer play a program on my Freeview Plus T2100. I have perfect internet connection, and I can get into the menu for on demand and the program details but when I actually try to play a program it simply shows the TV logo and goes no further. It doesn't freeze because it I press stop it goes back to the program details page. What is going on?

It as also hanging on the computer TVNZ on demand page but I fixed that by removing ad blocker, something I didn't need to do before.

Hi Everyone,

Thankyou for your ongoing patience, we are continuing to investigate with DISH TV,
To help with the investigation could you all reply to this post with the following

  • What programmes & episodes can you can not stream?
  • Have you tried to reboot the Dish TV box at the wall? Does this help?
  • Have you tried reconnecting WIFI (disable WIFI then reconnect)? Does this help?

This will be passed onto the developers at Freeview Lab and Dish TV.

Thanks
Josh

A spot of good news!  Dish TV has identified the cause of the fault and are developing firmware updates for release this week.

The development & deployment teams are working as quickly as they can while still ensuring the releases are properly tested to work as intended out in the field.  So the firmware updates for various affected boxes will be developed & released in sprints to allow each update to be tested (by both Freeview & Dish TV) before release.

The first release will be to the s8300 recorders, with the others to follow.

Please look out for progress updates on the NETWORK STATUS page in the coming days.

Thanks!

The problem is back, I think since the last automatic update. I tried doing a factory reset, it said "Please wait..." then froze. I had to cold start it.

UPDATE: It's come right again. It must have been a temporary problem with the Freeview server.
