Hi there

Being a freeview HD noob (UHF aerial being installed this week if it stops raining) I was wondering if there was a central list of Freeview HD programs anywhere?  I see a number of threads relating to individual days but nothing that pulls it all together. It also seems that the HD info on both the TVNZ and Freeview sites is somewhat out of date (if reoprts of Private Practice, for example, being in HD are correct)

If there is not I was toying with the idea of creating a wiki page that can be updated whenever additional programs show up.

Thoughts?

Cant remember if HD shows are listed in the EPG or not? Must have a look. a Wiki would be a good idea. I find we are watching cr@p that we wouldnt normally, just because its in HD, novelty may wear off soon hopefully Smile

Yeah EPG shows HD programs and Dolby Audio soundtracks as well.  I was skeptical initially but the MHEG5 EPG system means all EPG's are exactly the same, regardless of the box, and it's actually a pretty good one.  Dolby can be in 2 channel as well, so I'm not sure that the EPG distinguishes between dolby 2.0 and dolby 5.1 but either way it's pretty good.

Initial rule of thumb is if it's on TV3 and comes from the states then it's probably HD.  There is an increase of local content, J Brown Diaries etc so it can only get better.

I was thinking of something like this that would show the whole week of HD programs and is editable by anyone.

Either that or I could do something nicer looking (maybe on the blog here if I wanted) and keep it updated if people saw anything missing.....

Ugly Betty etc.. I thought TV1/TV2 were not HD til at least end of the year, just the Olympics.  Can anyone confirm there is no HD content on 1 & 2 at the moment apart from everything being upscaled?
