I've finally got my HVR-2200 and PowerCinema 5.1 up and running, and Live TV is working great (albeit I have the shadow /lag problem with TV3 - need to install my 8600GT).

However PowerCinema wont record live TV if I am watching something and click the record button.  It appears to be recording, and I can stop the recording.  But when I go to the Recorded TV section, the recorded file is only 4Kb, and crashes PowerCinema if I try to play it...

Anyone else had this problem?  Any ideas?

Happened to me - it originally worked then stopped. Time shifting worked but not recording via the scheduler or by clicking record.

I simply reinstalled it and it worked fine.

Recorded Batman Begins and Identity last night (15.5GB total) and now have to figure out how to best play them (PowerCinema only does 2x fast forward and no seek - so I have to watch them in one session)

Get cyberlink powerdvd 8 ultra edition enable hw acceleration
Get dvbviewer enable hw acceleration
you can then record and playback any recorded ts any speed any time.
