I have quite a few westpac hotpoints I want to use up. I was browsing through their list of items and came across this: https://www.hotpoints.co.nz/product.aspx?hash=d3f41a7f4be78adf133fae33babb87f2&sku=3443 Pinnacle PCTV NanoStick Tuner for FreeviewWatch freeview on your PC with the Pinnacle PCTV nanostick. It picks up digital TV even if the signal is weak, thanks to its ultra-sensitive reception technology. The incredibly small size design makes it the perfect match for today's thin laptops and compact desktops. The included easy to use Pinnacle TVCenter Pro software lets you watch, TimeShift and record TV. You can watch your favourite programmes in full-screen mode or in a scaleable window while using other applications. PCTV nanoStick is ready for new Freeview terrestrial HDTV service. PCTV nanoStick comes with a mini remote and antenna (works in most locations - otherwise connect to a Rooftop UHF Aerial), and is Certified for Windows Vista.
All software included to watch Freeview in NZ and overseas Anyone have any opinion as to whether it is any good, and/or easy to use, and/or value for money (it ‘costs’ 15,000 hotpoints which could buy me about $80 worth of vouchers from a range of retailers) I notice a couple of other threads when I searched for this model on geekzone which say it does not work under Windows Vista media centre. Reading the blurb on the hotpoints poage implies it does work. (or is this a new model? ) “compatible with Windows media centre”
