I've read the few threads about these topics but none have seemed to address it at a level I can understand.
Basically I don't have anything at the moment except the mac and am wanting to get set up. So far I was planning on getting the Elgato 250 Plus. I'm pretty sure I can get standard analogue TV with just that, but I am wondering if I can also get digital freeview as well or will I also need to get a freeview decoder (what the guy at the store said). 
If someone could go through how I would basically set myself up with these things that would be helpful and then i'll ask questions as I go.
