Hi All
i'm sure this has been covered but after doing a serach of google, geekzone and other forums i cannot find the answer.

I am running HVR4000 using power cinema from the cds provided (cd version 1.4) and the fix for the auto scanned DVB-T channels

all is working great apart from the Audio and Video on TV3 is completely out of sync.

please let me know if there is anything i can do to sort this out as TV3 has lots of good programs!

What spec processor do you have? What OS are you using? If you do have a GFX card capable of H.264 hardware acceleration have you performed the registry patch to enable DXVA hardware acceleration?

running Vista home premium, at work so can't tell you the exact processor right now AMD Athlon 64 something. The GPU is a Nvidia 6600 so from what i can see should support it but won't really make a difference.

is it worth doing the hardware acceleration patch?

First off your video card doesn't support H.264 acceleration so enabling it won't do anything.

Unless you have a dual core CPU (and by the sounds of it you don't) your system is simply not fast enough to decode TV3's 1080i need which is what is causing the sync isues. If you don't have a GPU capable of hardware acceleration you really need a minimum of an AMD5000+ to get OK results.

H.264 hardware acceleration is basically a requirement to get a decent picture with Freeview|HD - if you don't have a PC and video card apable of this you will only get average results.

Thanks sbiddle, i kinda figured as much it was an old PC that i wanted to give a second life as it wasn't any good for new games etc. Looks like it isnt very good for anything! now off to the PC shop to get myself something decent.

i think PB had a simple box that should do the trick for about $300-400

Maybe there should be a sticky on min requirements or something
