Well I've reached the end of my tether with trying to set up Freeview DVB-S on my HTPC at my new house in Karori.

1.  We have a Sky dish on the roof.  Not sure of the LNB but have tried both settings in my HTPC VMC.
2.  Tenant in the bedsit downstairs has Sky on, so I know the cable is connected to the Sky dish.
3.  I've tried two different splitters, both with power pass through on all ports.
4.  I've tried a new cable going directly from the splitter to the HTPC.

I just can't get a signal on my HTPC.  It worked perfectly via the Sky dish on my last house in Karori.  I didn't change anything in the HTPC at all between moving from one house to another.  All I did was connect the existing cable in the new lounge to the HTPC, and scanned for channels using the info I used last time (Australia, antenna, DVB-T, no guide) and got no responses.  Tried the other LNB settings and still no joy.

So frustrated, I've literally checked everything possible to do with cabling and now I am scared that my tuner is bung.  It shows up in Device manager though and all seems well with it.  I can't get any signal through WinTV either.

Can anyone suggest anything?  Am I out of luck because the guy downstairs is already using Sky?? Can only one or the other service be used on the dish at any one time?  Seems that is not the case as I've had him completely removed from the splitter and I still can't get the signal.

Sigh.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I really don't want to get Saturn on again!

Sounds like you have the wrong LNB settings. If the dish is running via the splitter to the unit down stairs then should not be a problem. There is no reason why you cannot share FreeView and Sky off the same dish as you are wanting to do. If you want the signal checked independantly of your STB then PM me.

I've tried both 10750000 and 11300000 in both registry entries and neither are giving me a response.  Have PM'd you!
