Hi there

I’m in Tikao Bay, Wainui 7582 (i.e., Akaroa Harbour) just for today (Sat 16 Oct). I swapped out the perfectly working DSE-7500 digital satellite receiver for a DishTV satBox S8200. It detected "no channels tuned in" and prompted an auto scan. After completing the scanning process, it found nothing and said tuning failed.

The DSE-7500 only has the Optus D1 satellite in it’s list and is receiving channels.

S8200 info:

SN – S820015270003568

Network – not connected (wired and wireless)

Country setup – NZ > Canterbury

Under satellite scan, there are 21 in the list. Optus D1(160E) Ku is first in the list. I’m assuming this is the same as Optus D1 listed in the DSE-7500. I’m not sure what to do next. I’d really appreciate anyone's help. Have attached some photos.

Thanks heaps.

Cheers

Erron

You will need to configure the LNB settings so they are the same as the previous box. Most likely setting is the local oscillator frequency (LOF) is wrong. The most common two to try are 10750 and 11300. One of those should work, depending on what LNB is on your satellite dish.

RunningMan, thanks so much for that!!! Worked like a charm – 10,750 was the go. Ran a blind scan and got all the channels. That’s awesome, appreciate it. Have a great weekend.
