run hcwlear.exe and reboot and reinstall the card.

it won't pick up the DVB-S part at all, or it won't tune?  these are two totally different types of trouble shooting.

What software are you using? MS media center does not support DVB-S out of the box. It needs changes made to it for it to  work.

Main thing to realise when setting up a media center is that it will take quite a while to get it set up and even longer before you are happy with the setup. It is not plug and play. The fact that you say it is urgent make me think that you may be setting yourself up for disapointment.

He only posted it a couple of hours ago. Give him a chance. He might have posted, gone to the office, or gone home. It's not like he posted last week.

the problem is that the powercinema wont pick up the DVB-S component when you carry out the setup wizard, but it does see the DVB-T and the analog components sorry for slow reply.

Thanx netty that seemed to fix the problem. I having a bit of trouble getting the channels to work now though the powercinema will recognise them but it wont dislpay any picture or sound any help would be good.

Sorry I have never used powercinema so can't provide any help. Should be someone else that is knowledgeable with it though.

Nety which software are you using and which model of card have you got. I have tried mediaportal and got all the channels working, but im just have trouble with the Hauppauge IR remote, like MediaPortal wont want to learn the new commends for some reason, because at the moment ch+is volumes down and all this sort of wierd stuff. I would still like to get powercinema working because it seems to be more reliable and more user friendly. If you anyone knows how to get the remote functioning properly any help would be appreciated. The remote is a 45 button Hauppage remote.

I am now running Vista Media center with the TV pack. I was running it without the TV pack up until a few weeks ago.

As from my sig I am using two HVR 3000's. Hoping to add a 2200 at some point to give me a better analouge input option + more DVB-T options when Windows 7 is released.
