Apparently (I'm downloading it now) the latest release fixes the lack of HE-AAC playback. Fingers crossed.

Do you have a link to any details on the update? Their site is running damn slow at the moment.

It has been playing the audio for a long time. Unless you are talking about it playing it at the correct bitrate etc?

There are no details as such but if you look at elgato's forum there is a mention of an audio fix but I'm wondering now if it's not the issue I thought it was.And yes it had played audio but it's not listenable on a hi-fi setup and I think it's an issue with it not decoding the HE-AAc stream properly. (sampling frequency rather than bit rate perhaps?)

Versions 3.02-3.04 handed HE-AAC but only at 22KHz which is the major problem

Playback under the Linux drivers sounds a lot fuller than on the Mac with EyeTV.

I haven't tried 3.1 yet.
