IT's only for FreeView|HD (DVB-T - terrestial) not DVB-S satelite.

dvb-t is terrestrial freeview via UHF. I'm gussing you're using a satellite receiver that does not receive ctv8 on freeview.

Correct - Chinese TV 8 is only on Freeview|HD.

You can get details of which channels are on Freeview|HD Terrestrial and on Freeview Satellite from the official Freeview website

The main differences are Stratos, Cue TV and Te Reo Maori are only available on satellite, Chinese TV 8 is only available on terrestrial. tvCentral is also only available on terrestrial but only in the Waikato / Bay of Plenty.

TV One, TV2, TV3, C4, Maori TV, TVNZ 6, TVNZ 7, TVNZ Sport Extra and Parliament TV are carried on both satellite and terrestrial.
