So I've been using both Mediaportal and freeviewNZ-EPG-GBPVR http://mentalindustries.orconhosting.net.nz/epg
for a while now but it seems that something has happened to the epg listings as they are way way off.

I think this would have happened on sunday when I assume the new listings are posted as I was set to record greys last night but something went wrong with the listings and it didnt record. (I set it to record on saturday but the boot on sunday must have cut it up and hence it didnt record).


Anyone else having these problems?

You do realise there is no need to use any external programs to get a Freeview EPG in the latest version of GB-PVR?

Where you have the XML file option just enter the http address of the epg.pvr.geek.nz file (http://epg.pvr.geek.nz/epg/freeview-web.xml.gz) and GB-PVR will download this daily and update your EPG.

As stated above in my previous post I'm using Mediaportal.

I also did a manual import by downloading the file myself from the website location and the times are out. By 13hrs from my calculations.

I'm using the same system in MP and I have no issues with times being out (well I didnt at 6.30am this morning watching Breakfast).

So I have no idea what was wrong. I just did a full wipe of TVserver installed it again and it went fine :/

That sounds like it could possibly be a timezone issue - NZDT is GMT +13 hours. I don't know anything about Mediaportal, but is the users timezone stored as part of it's configuration?

Wow that's cool....... I must have been napping when that came along. How robust is this solution? I've been using xmltvnz for ages, the only issue I have is now & then when it fails, it's not straightforward for the family to repopulate when I'm not there - this would be easier. (apologies for straying OT)
In answer to the thread - no issues noted by us with the EPG

I wrote freeviewNZ-EPG-GBPVR. The issue here is something to do with the EPG data file, or with your mediaportal setup.

The fact the EPG is being populated proves my application is working.

yeah it just didn't make any sense to me that it would go bonkers randomly like that. Anyway the reinstall made it back to being nice again.
