Hello,

I purchased a Pinnacle PCTV nanoStick (73e) DVB-T thumb drive from 1day.co.nz on Tuesday.

I have installed it on my computer now. My computer exceeds all minimum system requirements and I followed the installation structions correctly. That is, set New Zealand as the location.

I have hooked up the aerial, even a larger version of the aerial and am not able to find any channels in the scanning. I live in Woburn, Lower Hutt. I am definitely in the coverage area for Freeview.

The software it came with was TVCentre Pro.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Mark

I have one of these. I've tried the original aerial and a few different sets of bunny ears. The only thing that works with it is the old sky aerial ontop of our roof.

I'd never buy a TV card/stick etc for the supplied software anyways, they are generally all inferior to applications such as Mediaportal, GBPVR or even Windows Media Center.

The idea of choosing TV Tuner hardware because of the supplied software is a bit backwards really.

yea i've been trying to get mediaportal, media center and a couple other ones working but mediaportal is the closest i can get to working even though it has no video display :(

has anybody found any 3rd party software that works with this nanoStick?

I've been using one of these since August last year, with a new pro-installed aerial. The supplied software worked, but the picture quality wasn't up to scratch and went blocky when DXVA was enabled.
I ditched it soon after and bought DVBViewer, it works much better than the supplied software.
Once Windows 7 Beta was available I switched to it with Media Centre, and have been using it up until a few days ago.
I'm now using Windows 7 RC with Media Centre and loving it. My only problem is Teletext doesn't work, I click "TEXT" but nothing happens. If I recall correctly it did work with DVBViewer.
