Looking for suggestions on a DVB-S receiver that I can plug an external USB drive in for PVR.

Thanks.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

I have a couple of digistar DS-811U's and they are ok, we use them more for playing avi's and mpgs than recording tho.

search for 811U on geekzone and you may find a supplier.... or trade me

Cheers

The new DishTV S7050PVR looks really interesting:
http://www.freetv.co.nz/

It has 1080i upscaling via HDMI, and the blurb also says that you can record a "whole series from the EPG".

Another options could be the UltraPlus 780 or 880 Micro PVRs.

Disclaimer: Never tried any of them, but they look interesting. :-)
