I have Freeview|HD recorded-TV .ts files recorded from GBPVR, which I'm trying to play in Win7 Media Center, and I get video but no audio (AAC or AC3) in Media Center.
Hard to say if it is codec related. Easiest way to determine is with Graphedit. Just copy folder to preferred location: no installer. Open Graphedit, load *.ts file (you may have to change types of files to 'all files') & [attempt to] play file. This should also give a chart of what file splitter, video & audio codecs & renderers are being used.
If you can't play the file, but the chart looks OK., it may indicate a codec issue. You may get an error box, don't worry, it still should play but may have an audio sync issue.
Also, you could try another player. GOM & VLC players play *.ts files straight from install (I think).
Thanks 1gkar for the suggestions, however I'm fairly sure 7MC uses Media Foundation, so graphedit will not show or utilise the Media Foundation filters.
Not familiar with W7 at all: never even looked at it. Are you saying that the Media Foundation installs it own (Microsoft) proprietary video/audio codecs? If not, & it uses standard codecs, like PowerDVD *.** then you could still use Graphedit or another player to determine if the *.ts file plays properly outside the 7MC frontend, narrowing the issue down.
