Is anyone hosting an mxf file that we can download for our beloved 7mc guide yet?

+1!

I would be suspicious of the mxf being married to your machine somehow. I had a quick look at the guts of one I converted using BSE tool and there's some PKI stuff in there, perhaps someone with a bit more knowledge on the subject could shed some light...

Or you could post your own mxf file, one of the punters here may be game enough to give it a shot :)

Rats. Here I was thinking it was just a generic file that could be imported easily...
I haven't been able to find a good guide on setting up a system to import an xmltv file to generate a mxf file. The catch with my system is that I don't have internet at home ;) Anyone know of any? I want to be able to download the xmltv file at work, then generate and import the mxf file at home.

Cheers

BSE (Big Screen EPG) works well and can use a existing file.

Hmm could you take the media centre to someone that does have internet access and register? Sorry I just can't imagine not having internet at home...

do you have a satellite dish? could always just get a satellite tuner and then you?ll have a 7-day guide

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Ok, so say I get a DVB-S tuner, and I get the 7-day guide, will that map thru to the DVB-T HD channels, so I can record HD channels with the guide from the DVB-S tuner?

Yes. All you need to do is merge the channels.
