Hi,

I have looked everywhere but haven't been able to find an answer to my problem so am now, in desperation, going to have to ask for help!

I am running MediaPortal 1.0.2 with two HVR-3000 tuner cards that do DVB-T (NZ Freeview) and DVB-S (Optus D2). This setup works well and I generally have no reception issues at all with either DVB-S or DVB-T - with ONE exception - Russia Today!

While the other Optus D2 channels work fine (BVN, DUNA, PressTV etc) Russia Today's audio is nothing but what can best be described as "Chipmunks-style" and it is delivered in a very broken up way - completely messed up. Again, any other channel is fine, but go back to RT and it is all messed up. I've checked the basic tunings settings (Service ID, PMT PID etc) and they all appear fine - the picture is perfect. But the audio is useless. When I leave the TV Service configuration utility and just go to MediaPortal itself then Russia Today has NO audio at all.....so I get slightly different behaviour betweeen the preview and the channel proper....but in both cases the channel has no usable audio...

When I viewed the channel with a set top box (back when I was repointing the Sky dish) RT was fine on that....suggesting it *is* some sort of MP issue..

What am I missing? Speaking for myself I'm stuck and out of ideas....any help therefore would be much appreciated!

Cheers,
B.

*nudge*

Still no progress. If no one has any ideas could I at least get someone to post the TV Tuner Service properties for their Russia Today channel so I can at least check I have all the right settings in terms of PIDs etc...

Thanks!

are you just trying to perfect your setup, or are you actually going to watch 'russia today'? :P

Nope...actually *trying* to watch Russia Today - it has some good stuff on it and it is in English, so totally watchable. Truth be told I spend more looking at PressTV, Russia Today and BVN than all the NZ channels added up together....but I do have this really annoying problem with RT...

...And to really bring the end of my week to a good close have just added Prime TV (Freeview HD) and it is freezing up all the time - audio continues pretty much with no issues, but the video is stopped and either gets a frame refresh every 10-15 seconds or it gets half a second of video before freezing again.... All the other channels are still fine (TV1,2,3,4,Maori,6,7,TV3+1, Parliament) although I have recently notice a slight lag in between the audio and video such that the audio arrive slightly too late and they're out of sync.... Am using the Cyberlink codecs...

Am I losing my mind? I feel like I am....

B.
