you were saying you knew friends who import these from China for $130 - was that NZD? - can you please PM me a link to a reliable chinese importer?

All those Chinese Dreambox are fakes. If you want the real thing, contact "nuclearchicken" here on Geekzone. Here's now the official Dreambox importer.

If you are getting anything from DX, my experiance is budget for replacing the AC adaptor with one thats vaugely safe to use ontop of the purchase price.

the DB from DX is pretty cheap and can only be used for free view - what I need is something like the DB 5000
