Hi there

Noticing motion blurr on freeviewHD, i am using latest media portal. and use the default powerdvd codecs. i tried coreAVC which slightly improves the blurr. using Arcosoft also doesnt help as motion is good but i get audio sync problems even though i use arcsoft audio decoder.

What does shift+! indicate? Any dropped frames or jitter?

Is this only tonight? Or other nights as well? And on all channels? Or one in specific?

this sounds a lot like the GPU, isnt take the load, and it still CPU loading, hence the motion blur, this is common on TV3

If you are using Vista, then check that you have the Video Renderer Settings set to use EVR not VMR (as per the excellent cranznz setup guide: http://cranznz.googlepages.com/newmpguide223 ). I had a similar issue after a rebuild at one stage when I forgot to follow the instructions properly! :-)
Cheers

Apparently TV3 transmit at 1080i so I imagine your PC needs to de-interleave it to display it on an non-interleaved screen. Other transmit at 720p (progressive scan) so it is already in a format that is closer to the PC native format.
