I want to get freeviewHD so i need to install a UHF aerial. I reside in Pakuranga East auckland,

Would a medium size gain antenna be sufficient?

sorry if i sound like a freeview newbie cause i amTongue out

It probably would be sufficient. It's easy to believe that bigger (higher gain) must always be better, but sometime the opposite is true.

There's some good information on aerials on this website: It's a British site, so any transmitter-specific information is irrelevant to us, but the basic principles are the same.
