Is that SID 1932?

If so when I try it I get a screen with the Kordia Logo and The Liggins Institute

Have had the Kordia channel showing for quite sometime now on DVB-S. Also had some random Aussie channels showing up for a couple of days.

Loving SBS :-)

Great? All I ever see is pictures of around the world to music telling me where to buy the CD from, or a rebroadcast of some foregin news channel.

For the latter we have triangle. and I see no point in the lousy classical music to a slideshow or world images....

Love SBS, new season of Top Gear, Man VS Wild, Myth Busters to name a few.... some great movies that I've managed to catch. Great sport coverage too :-)

the quality is alot better than the "Freeview" channels... if only I had a sat receive that did HD :-(

I noticed that they're playing Man VS Wild on prime where he was stranded on an island I watched that on SBS a week or so ago ;-)

I'm wondering why the Liggens Institute would be involved in a new public freeview channel (or isn't it public?) they're all about biomedical R & D .

"Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see"-Edgar Allan Poe...and my Dad (Words I live by).
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"-Many...and my Dad (Words I should live by ;) )
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it ... till its broke! (Words I should really not live by)

You can download Top Gear in 720p in under 15 minutes from rapidshare.com. As for the quality of SBS standard definition, I think it looks like crap, especially the recorded content they play back, macroblocking paradise.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

To be honest you can download most TV programs / movies from the net ;-) But thats not the point here. As for quality I find it a lot better, TV2 yesterday was shocking was like watching a bad youtube video :-/ I often wonder what happened with that discussion.

deliveryguy But anyway glad to find out what they use that channel for now :-)

It's not a freeview channel, but if you have the right DVB-S setup you can get the SBS channels.

I'd check your equipment if the picture quality is that back. The SD version of SBS 1 generally looks better than a lot of the SD freeview channels, and the HD version looks pretty damn good on my equipment.
